Player development has its challenges, since a healthy interaction between player and coach must be developed. When it is, the main objective is improvement, which can and should lead to more wins. This is not as easy as it may sound.
Whether I’m helping professional, college, high school or AAU basketball coaches, I implement the following main building blocks as basics:
-
imagery work
-
the teaching of mechanics
-
proper conditioning
-
confidence building
-
integration of these elements to “fine tune” the whole player.
